The first of many travel legs has begun! After a harrowing trip down the freeway on Mr Toad’s Wild Ride, blustering wind and rain battering our giant tin can of a shuttle van, we’ve arrived at Cathay Pacific in time for a quick rest & recoup in the business lounge. So far so good. Departure time is 01:00am and I’m ready for a solid nights sleep. Hydrate hydrate, I don’t want to feel like something the cat dragged in when we arrive in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Skyline from Kowloon

We have a long layover there but unfortunately not enough time to take a little sojourn into the City. Not that I’m that disappointed about that.  Having spent a few days there year before last, we were able to get a good feel for this bustling gateway to the Orient. First impressions….. masses of humanity, cacophony of sound, beehive living structures and very expensive, very beautiful, drool worthy boutiques. While Hong Kong does boast one very spectacular night skyline my little City by the bay, San Francisco still holds my heart.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings, Phnom Penh here we come.
